Earthworm Lean talks about his process as an artist in the music world

Interviewer. What first got you into music?

I always had a ear for it since a baby from the beat back down to wanting to know how adlibs work. No matter the song, I always seen the artist’s point of view before a listener.

Interviewer. Who inspired you to do music? –

Any musician, especially hip hop artist coming out between the 90’s and early 2000’s wave. From TI, Gucci, Future, Jeezy, Lyfe Jenning back down to UGK. Ne-Yo inspired me alot more than others.

Interviewer. How would you describe the music that you typically create?

I call it “Mudd music” or “Mudd Talk” because when its all said and done I want my music to be its own genre. Yeah you can get some money to this and the same song will make you feel like you’re not the only one in the situation either. Club music you can cry to. Music you can say bye to and get high too.

Interviewer. What is your creative process like?

I go off moods if i’m freestyling. When I do take the time out to sit and write I go more in depth. It’s usually a mystery until the song is completed because as i record i sometimes switch choruses into verses or i might turn a adlib into the chorus so its a fun mysterious process I would say.

Interviewer.What is one message you would give to your fans? –

I”m right here getting it out da mudd witcha”

Interviewer. Do you sing in the shower? -Concert every time What songs ?

-All my music fasho and whoever i probably just got thru listening to. Im all over so it can be country music , heavy metal or whatever good music good music.

Interviewer.Where have you performed?

-I performed throughout all Atlanta. Florida, Alabama, SXSW, & Mississippi. Took over a lot of family functions performing as well. No upcoming shows though.

Interviewer. How do you feel the internet has impacted the music business? –

Alot. I started making music right when music was shifting from cd’s to streams. And its updating daily you just have to keep up with whats going. I learned that the hard way dealing with the internet and music.

-The sky the limit. Im going to be compared with the greats. Exposure
